COURSE DESCRIPTION

This three-day course introduces those who are involved in improving workforce management practices or managing technical professionals to the People Capability Maturity Model® (People CMM), Version 2.0, its fundamental concepts, and the value it can bring to organizations using it. The People CMM is a framework that organizations can use to guide attracting, motivating, and retaining a talented technical staff. The practices in the model help an organization be an employer of choice and ensure that the staff has the competencies to achieve an organization's current and future business objectives.

The course is composed of lectures and class exercises with ample opportunity for participant questions and discussions. After attending the course, participants will be able to understand the practices described in the People CMM Version 2 framework and how these practices can be used to improve the workforce management capabilities of their organization. Participants will also be able to describe an organization's ability to develop and evolve its workforce at each maturity level.

Considerable Discount for the San Antonio SPIN Members to Attend ICSPI in Orlando, FL

Dear San Antonio SPIN,

The International Institute for Software Process (IISP) aligns with non-profit groups around the world to promote education for software process improvement. 

 To that end, IISP would like to offer members of the San Antonio SPIN a discount to attend the International Conference on Software Process Improvement (ICSPI) to be held in Orlando, FL November 12-16, 2007.

 Members of the San Antonio SPIN will receive 10% discount on all conference sessions as long as they use promotional code “SASPIN” on their registration.   This discount ranges from $80 to $130 per person depending on the number of courses the individual registers for. 

In addition, and in accordance with our charter of supporting the SPI community, a 5% donation for every registration received with the above promotional code will be made to the San Antonio SPIN.
